For Japan With Love

It's the last day of For Japan With Love organized by Henny and Lucia of Utterly Engaged and Lydia of Ever Ours.

What happened in Japan is tragic and shocking and what continues to happen is heartbreaking. It is estimated that over 16,600 are dead.

Read that again.

It makes my heart ache and eyes well up.

Hello & We Are Back!

I have been working on many events for the past several months and so the blog was not given the attention it deserves. I have been busy with all type of events and I will post those events that I have worked on late last year and this month in coming post. I’m really working on what I want to get from my blog and provide to others. I just wanted to say Hello to everyone!!!

Rock & Roll Wedding Inspiration

Today's idea is inspired by Rock and Roll! It's everywhere lately! E! Television's newest reality TV Show Married to Rock's latest episode features Steve & Josie Stevens tying the knot at a castle... Rock & Roll style! It was definitely fun & regal!

We heart themed weddings.

We came across this wedding inspiration board and think it's perfect for the bride looking for something alternative and non-traditional.

Take a look at this Rock and Roll inspired tablescape!

This table was designed by Kathy Manning of The Party Place in Portland, Oregon.

We are infatuated with all things Christian Louboutin.

These lacey pumps would go great with a rock and roll theme:

Who wouldn't want to go to a wedding after receiving this invitation?

Embrace your inner rockstar!

DIY Lacey Candle Centerpiece From Martha Stewart

Today we are infatuated with these Lacey Candle Centerpieces from Martha Stewart Weddings. This is an easy, budget friendly project for any bride to be! These candle centerpieces create an enchanting gentle glow for an evening reception.

Step 1: The votives are made with clear glass cylinders (we used several sizes), white lace, and white candles. To determine how much lace you'll need for each, measure height and circumference of vase.

Step 2: Chose your lace. Fabric or paper lace will work.

Step 3: Before cutting your lace, brush lace with fabric stiffener (available at crafts and fabric stores) so that it won't fray; let dry.

Step 4: Cut, allowing 1/2 inch for seam. For the top edge, follow the floral or decorative pattern as you cut. Wrap lace around vase, and use a hot-glue gun to secure the ends.

Tada! These are a great way to cut costs and have a little romantic ambiance at your reception!
